OUR ADU DESIGNS

Five ways to start.

Explore five ADU designs, each with its own character. Find a starting point you like, explore exterior options in our interactive Builder, and tell us about your property.

Available options vary by model; final details depend on your selections and property.

Modern

Clean lines. A stronger connection to the outdoors.

A single-slope roof and an asymmetrical facade give Modern its contemporary character.

A large sliding-glass entry opens the home toward the yard, while smooth vertical fiber-cement panels keep the exterior clean and understated.

Cottage

Familiar proportions. A welcoming place to call home.

Cottage brings a traditional feel to a backyard setting with a steeper gable roof, balanced front windows, and a centered entry. Vertical fiber-cement panels with a subtle wood-grain texture and architectural shingles give it a softer, more familiar character. Explore the available exterior finishes to complement the main home.

Craftsman

Traditional detail, with a little more character.

Deep eaves, tapered columns, and exposed rafter tails give Craftsman its recognizable character. Horizontal fiber-cement lap siding and architectural shingles reinforce its traditional appearance, while the integrated covered entry adds definition to the front of the home. Explore available finishes to bring out those details in your own way.

Fire-Resistant

A restrained design with a focus on exterior materials.

This model pairs smooth fiber-cement siding with standing-seam metal roofing and a low-pitched gable profile. Dark trim and a centered glazed entry give the exterior a simple, defined appearance. Its Builder options exclude wood siding and asphalt shingles, keeping the exterior material choices distinct from the other models.

The model name does not imply fire-performance certification or a guarantee of protection.

Entry Studio

A smaller footprint. A straightforward starting point.

Entry studio is the compact option in the collection, with a simple gable roof and an uncluttered front facade. Vertically grooved fiber-cement panels, metal roofing, and a full-lite entry door keep the design straightforward. It offers a smaller starting point for exploring an independent living space on your property.
